So here it is… 2018… new year, new book open to fill up blank pages with another beautiful and successful stories… The main story for this year would be me looking in to the West… My main priority, after 2 wonderful years in Nation’s Capital time to find a place for myself, where I can settle start building a new life. A place which I can call “home”. Of course I would not be myself if I would start new year without a special trip. This one will start very soon and it will last 2 weeks, details to be unvieled  very soon. It will be a great way to start another amazing year.

Year is almost over, Christmas is almost here, my special day is almost here too… Time to look back and think about what happened this year. And I must admit that there is a lot to look at. Started in January with a quick weekend getaway in Los Angeles and Miami, then few days relax in Punta Cana… Shortly after a visit from a friend who as a first one decided to get vis a fulfill one of his dreams of coming to USA and seeing Cher on concert… I happy that I was a part of that dream that became fact. Then change of department from my housekeeping to the front desk. Stepping out from my shoes and takin on a new challange head on… Flying back home to Krakow in August, seeing family and few people that I could call my “friends”. Going to Chicago and making sure that another friend has a warm welcome in this crazy but great country. Spending time with my best fiend in DC whit whom I went to Philadelphia and had amazing time. You would say that this year have been great, but not everything was as planned and as good unfortunately. I decided to take a different approach on what I do in future, turns out I really have to step up and make decisions otherwise I will be always behind, I will always be the last one. Not anymore, I want to cast my own future the way I see it, the way I want it, not they way other see it and other want it. I found a great quote from President J.F.K: “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future”. Definately something to think about when you summarize your year. I intend to shape my future… are you…?

Here it is, December one of my least favorite months during te year. Not only because of the weather, but also because of shorter days and Christmas being just around the corner. Being 7000km from Krakow is not always helping. End of the year is the best time as always do a little summary of this past year. I travel a lot, dedicated myself to work hard it feels that everything should be ok. Unfortunately it is not, many factors dedicated to that but I don’t want to go into details. I am focusing on generating a new plan for myself and will try to do things from the scratch again. Hopefully this time it will work especially that I will not rely on other people, rather will try do things my way like they should be. More about that soon. Hello everyone, it have been a while since I have posted something on my blog. I will try to get back to it. Somehow together with the warm weather gone for the year same happened to my good spirit. Have been working a lot, also was trying to get thicker skin. Unfortunately working a front desk job, facing directly customers is something new for me. I haven’t had that part of me developed so I was concentrated on it so every shift is not making me stressful as it was before. Sitting by the desk at work assigning rooms looking at the door and there is this uncertainty…you are asking yourself who is next to come through that door, will it be man or woman, will he or she will be tired after the trip, will she or he be in the good mood or bad, how am I going to make their experience better that expected. Every single day millions of thoughts going through my mind, like a little processor trying to predict what comes next. It is not always working, bu I learn from my mistakes very fast. Growing thick skin even faster. Very new and interesting experience for someone who was always working in the shadow kind of invisible and dealing with the same faces everyday. No it is completely different but I must admit I like it… A year is coming to an end, my two years in DC just passed so it is abut time to get some things moving forward…

So it is happening… Autumn is finally approaching the Capital City. For two years in a row this season of they year was always interesting, amazing and colorful. Now I got used to this, before I was little shocked how nature can change from day to day. It just like trees are getting this order to loose all the leaves right now and that’s what they do. This season is DC is interesting because it’s very short, after temperatures drop do 50’s and low 60’s everything is changing. Within 2-3 weeks all trees changing colors to beautiful yellow, gold, brown and red and after that they just loose their leaves at once. So you need to pay attention to that otherwise you will miss Autumn. All happens so quick, city becomes gray, feels like everything goes to sleep. This how it will be until March.
